Travel Baseball
The Lincolnshire Lightning Travel Baseball program shall provide a quality environment that promotes instruction, advancement, sportsmanship, teamwork and an overall love for the game necessary for a competitive travel baseball program for the youth of our community and beyond. We look to promote the game and provide an outlet for interested players who are looking for enhanced competition and a longer sporting season such as through the summer months and winter clinics and workouts.
Teams/players will expect to play anywhere between 35-40 games. Travel teams will participate in the Mid Suburban Baseball League and Lake Shore Feeder, with neighboring teams from around the Chicagoland area. The travel season will run from January through July, with winter workouts starting the 3rd week of January.
8U TRAVEL BASEBALL TRYOUTS 2025
LSA Lightning 8U Tryout Registration is Live! Tryouts will be held on Saturday November 2nd and Sunday November 3rd from 4:00PM-5:30PM at Five Tool Baseball Academy in Vernon Hills.
Players will be evaluated on hitting, fielding, pitching, throwing and attitude. Current 1st Graders, 2nd Graders, and 3rd graders who will not be turning the age of 9 until after May 1st are eligible. Sign up today!
One tryout is required. For all new players, attending two tryouts is highly recommended.

LSA Refund Policy
A refund request for any reason will be refunded at 85% of the registration fee if requested more than 30 days prior to the start of the season.*
A refund request for any reason will be refunded at 50% of the registration fee if requested less than 30 days prior to the start of the season.*
Refunds after the season starts (season can be defined as the start of any of the following practices, games, clinics, etc) will only be granted if they are due to an injury – which will be refunded on a case by case basis at an agreed upon pro-rated amount. Lincolnshire sports association reserves the right to request a doctors notification.
Refunds requested for any reason after the season starts (other than for an injury) will not be granted.
*Season can be defined as the start of any of the following: practices, games, clinics, etc.
